Restaurant-style cold noodles at home. Buy it once, use it every summer.

Cold soba needs four things: a plate, a mat to drain the noodles, a dipping cup and a little dish for wasabi and spring onion. Hard to find in South Africa, so we brought the full set in. Made in Japan from food-grade plastic: light in the hand, and it won't chip, crack or shatter like ceramic.

  • Made in Japan · from a Niigata kitchenware house, est. 1967
  • Complete set: plate, drain mat, dipping cup, condiment dish

Why you'll love it

  • Firm noodles, every time. The mat lifts noodles off the plate so water drains away. No soggy bottom.
  • Food-grade, built to last. Japanese food-safe plastic. Drop it, stack it, use it every summer. No chips, no cracks.
  • Nothing to hunt for. Sauce in the cup. Wasabi, spring onion and grated daikon (oroshi) on the little dish, which doubles as a lid.
  • Not just soba. Tsukemen (dipping ramen), udon, somen, even tempura.

Make it a meal: our Soba Noodles, Oishi Sauce for dipping, and the Kai Vegetable Grater for fresh daikon oroshi.

Chopsticks not included. Pick your own pair and a rest from our Chopsticks & Tableware.
