I have never bought anything from Umami Food Studio that I wasn’t 100% hapoy with!!
I’ve been using Rany’s classes for team building and client events over the past two years, quite a few times now.
The format just works — 4-hour evening sessions mean no one has to take time off. The venue is upmarket and centrally located, and Rany is a great host. She’s knowledgeable but also very easygoing, which helps people relax and get involved.
What I like most is how natural it all feels. It’s a very organic way to build relationships — you cook, eat, have a few drinks, and conversations just happen. It never feels forced or like there’s an agenda.
Since only one class runs at a time, it feels quite private, and you get her full attention throughout.
The group size is ideal (8–12 people), so everyone can take part, even if they’re not confident in the kitchen. The food is great, dietary requirements are well accommodated, and the whole experience is genuinely immersive. Honestly, a much better way to entertain than just going to a restaurant.
Love their products, my wife has been buying their products for six years now,cant wait to join one of their cooking classes🤗
Utterly disappointing that Umami food studio does not care for the dietary preferences of their customers,I collected my order in person dressed fully in Islamic clothing and was given free samples of products that contained alcohol...with no ingredient list whatsoever!!As a food company you should take more pride in your customers and their dietary needs!Inform them which of your products are not suitable for Muslims to consume and most certainly not add it to their orders!

I joined the KFC class yesterday and loved everything about it: the atmosphere, the people, the food… and the overall lesson as well. I also felt “safe” as a Muslim, with all recipes clearly explained in a halal version too.
I learnt so much new concepts about food which i never knew, which was very interesting. Plus I am very intrigued by Asian cuisine and culinary so it was definitely worth it. The food was also really really good, i really enjoyed it! And the class was very immersive too! My experience was great, compared to other cooking classes too. And if I ever get an opportunity to do another class, I’d take it. I don’t think I would ever get tire of your classes, it is so exciting and fun!

I loved the interaction with the team; it was the perfect way for us to break the ice. Rany's instruction was spot on—I especially appreciated that we didn't have to initiate the cooking from start to finish, but instead participated in specific, engaging parts of the process. Her explanation of the cooking process and how she got everyone involved in different tasks showed that her planning was truly great. 👍
Last but not least, the quality of the ingredients was top-notch, and it was a huge plus that we could even purchase items on-site. The ultimate cleanliness and neatness of her home and kitchen were also very impressive!
The food was superbly delicious—the absolute highlight of the evening. Since the concept of Vietnamese street food was foreign to most of us, we had no idea what it would taste like while cooking, but once we sat down to dine, it was simply amazing! 😍💃 I also loved the tastings of various sauces and spices and Rany's expert advice on how and where to use them.
I have highly recommended this experience to our Group Chief Procurement Officer, and as a result, our Procurement Team is now confirmed to join! If you're looking for a professional yet fun and delicious bonding experience, this is it.
